Cambodia’s Anti-Corruption Unit to Learn from the Chinese

PHNOM PENH: Head of Cambodia’s Anti-Corruption Unit, Senior Minister Om Yentieng, said leaders from his unit will visit China in the near future to exchange experiences of anti-corruption work abroad.

According to the AKP national news agency, Om Yentieng and his staff were invited by his Chinese counterparts from the Henan Province, who paid him a visit on September 11. During the meeting on Monday morning, both sides supported the cooperation and exchange of experiences between Cambodia and China.

During the meeting, Qu Xiaoli, a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party’s Henan Provincial Committee told Cambodia that the CCP has been actively cracking down on criminal activity by adhering to the principles of anti-corruption.

The two sides exchanged gifts, while the Chinese delegation invited leaders of the Cambodian Anti-Corruption Unit to visit Henan Province in the near future to exchange experiences on anti-corruption work. The Cambodian leaders accepted the invitation.
